The transition from Box to OneDrive online storage was a massive communications project. I made lots of digital layouts and media to aid in communicating about the transition to the university community.
One of the most important pieces of this content was the central landing page, which included basc information about the service transition, as well as a detailed timeline and links to support content.
This custom landing page was intended to feel welcoming and warm, using a lot of soft colors and incoporating a sunrise/sunset visual theme to go along with “sunsetting” the Box service.
Other components of the Box retirement communications campaigns were designed to coordinate with the visual style of the landing page, using similar soft and warm colors and sunrise/sunset imagery.
Core content from the landing page was also adapted for social media graphic use, for example this version of the project timeline laid out for twitter and instagram.
In addition to the landing page, I designed and produced several other custom webpages for the Box retirement project. One of my favorites is a page which was built like an infographic to share key information about the similarities and differences between OneDrive and Teams, and their relationship to SharePoint - confusing concepts from the perspective of community members used to the way the Box service was organized.
It incorporates brand colors from the respective products to make them distinct and increase visual appeal.
